Account and settings
Plans Free, Pro, Agency
Open Settings from the top bar. It has these sections: Account, Sessions, Workspace, Members, Plan and billing, Connections, Email, Sites and MCP & API.
Account
- Your name and email.
- Language: English or Español (Spanish went live 2026-10-09; machine-drafted, owner-approved, see docs/i18n/es-review.md). It is saved to your account, used on every device and for the emails we send you. Without a choice, KeptSEO follows your browser’s language. Prices are always in US dollars. See languages.
- Sign out ends your session on this device.
- Delete account asks you to type your email to confirm. It disconnects Google (KeptSEO’s access is revoked and the stored token is deleted), signs you out everywhere and deletes your account. A workspace where you are the only person goes too, with its notes. If you are the only owner of a workspace that other people use, deletion stops and names that workspace: transfer ownership first (Settings > Members > Transfer ownership), then delete. Stored search data is deleted within 30 days.
Sessions
- Lists every device signed in to your account: the browser and system (for example “Chrome on macOS”), the network address, when it signed in and when it was last active. This device is marked Current.
- Sign out next to another device ends its session.
- Sign out everywhere else ends every session except the one you are using. Use it if you signed in on a shared computer or lost a device.
- A device you sign out may keep working for up to a minute before it is asked to sign in again.
Workspace
- Name: owners and admins can rename the workspace. Other members see it read-only.
- Plan: shows your plan (Free, Pro or Agency), the swap lock and how much history you see. A card lists what the next plan adds. Paid plans open with Plan and billing (at
/settings/billing); until then upgrading is not available. - Two meters: Active sites (shown in your dashboards) and Sites we keep saving (active plus saved). See Plans and limits.
Connections
- Grouped by source. Google Search Console lists each Google login connected to the workspace, with the date it was connected and its status: Connected, Needs reconnect or Disconnected. Add another Google account (or Connect Search Console when none is connected yet) sits on the right of that heading.
- Bing Webmaster Tools shows your Bing account once connected (its email when Bing gives one). Until then it shows Connect Bing; it never offers Connect Bing again once connected.
- Check for site changes (below the sources) does two things at once, without signing in again: it adds sites that are new in Search Console or Bing, and it checks which of your sites each Google account can still see. The result reads like “2 new sites added · 1 site lost access: example.com. Reconnect the account that owns it.” Once every 5 minutes. New sites also appear on their own within a day.
- Reconnect appears when a connection needs it.
- Disconnect removes KeptSEO’s access at Google and deletes our stored token right away. No new data is imported through that connection. Sites only that login can see are hidden. Data already saved stays until our 30-day purge, and reconnecting before then brings the sites back.
- A teammate’s connection is marked “(teammate)” and only shows Disconnect when you are allowed to remove it.
Email On Pro and Agency, switch the weekly email digest on or off for yourself, show a preview, or send yourself one. Free sees a Pro note here.
Audit log, export history, digest recipients, your data: see workspace records.
Sites New sites appear within a day; Check now jumps to Check for site changes under Connections.
A website with several properties (for example a Search Console domain property and a URL-prefix property, or the same site in Bing) is one row with “2 properties” next to its name; it moves and counts as one site.
Your sites sit in three groups:
- Active — shown in dashboards. The header shows the slots you use (“2 of 2 slots”). The order here is also the order of your Sites page.
- Saved — kept up to date, not shown. History keeps importing. Make one active when you need it.
- Excluded — not saved. Not imported; stored data is deleted within 30 days.
To move a site, drag it to another group, or drag it up or down inside Active. From the keyboard, use the ↑ / ↓ buttons on an active site, or the Active / Saved / Excluded switch on any row. If a move is not allowed, the group turns red while you drag and a short message says why (for example “Active is full (2 of 2). Move a site from Active to Saved or Excluded first, or upgrade.”).
More Active sites than your plan includes. If you have more Active sites than your plan includes (after a downgrade, say), the extra ones appear under More Active sites than your plan includes — move some to Saved or Excluded, or upgrade. They are read-locked: still updated, but their dashboards are closed. You decide which ones: drag a site above that line, use ↑, or press Keep active; the last site above the line then takes its place. You can also save or exclude any site at once (the 14-day wait does not apply while you are over), or upgrade. Nothing is deleted.
Limits that apply:
- When Active is full, move a site to Saved or Excluded before making another one Active.
- On Free and Pro, a site must stay active for 14 days before you can swap it out. The row shows how many days are left (“Swap unlocks in 5 days”).
- Very large sites show a badge such as Uses 3 slots — very large site, and the usage line counts site slots. If a site grows and your workspace goes over its slots, a notice at the top of Sites says what happens and when; see Plans and limits.
- Only workspace owners and admins can move sites; others see the groups read-only.
- A site that is still importing says “importing history”.
See Import and daily updates for what happens when a site is added.
