Connect your AI to your Search Console history
Ask your own AI assistant about your clicks, queries and pages, across all the history KeptSEO keeps. It reads the same data you see in the app and can only change annotations, if you let it.
What MCP is, in plain words
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way for AI assistants to use other apps. Add KeptSEO as a connector and your assistant can look up your search data while it answers you: no exports, no copy and paste.
What your assistant can read
list_sites: the sites in your workspace, with last-28-day clicks and impressionssite_summary: clicks, impressions, CTR and position for a range, against the period beforetop_queries, top_pages: queries and pages with their change, filtered and sortedpage_trend, query_trend: one page or query by day, week or monthcompare_periods: the queries or pages that moved most between two periodsopportunities: striking distance, low CTR, decay and cannibalization (Pro)annotations, list_changes: your notes on the timeline and the log of changes (Pro)
What it can change
Only annotations, and only when you allow it (a key with "Can change annotations", or ticking it when you connect):
add_annotation, update_annotation, delete_annotation: add, edit or delete a note on the timelineundo_change: undo any change made through the app or MCP
Every change is recorded with who made it and through which client, and can be undone.
Works with
Claude
Add a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.keptseo.com/mcp, sign in to KeptSEO and pick your workspace.
ChatGPT
Add https://mcp.keptseo.com/mcp as a connector where your ChatGPT plan supports MCP, then sign in and pick your workspace.
Meta Muse Code
Add an mcp_servers entry in ~/.config/muse/settings.json with an API key. The Muse app catalog listing is coming.
Scripts and agents
Create an API key in Settings and send it as Authorization: Bearer.
curl -s https://mcp.keptseo.com/mcp \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"list_sites","arguments":{}}}'Security
- Read-only by default. Writes need the annotations permission, and your role must allow them.
- Your role and your plan's limits apply to every call, exactly as in the app.
- Client viewers reach only the sites assigned to them.
- API keys are stored hashed; we show a key once. Revoke keys and connections any time.
- Rate limits: 60 calls a minute and 2,000 a day per workspace.

Pricing
The MCP add-on is $5/month ($50/year) on Free or Pro, and included in Agency. On Free your assistant sees what Free shows: 2 active sites, the last 16 months and the top 5,000 rows per view. Pro ($19/month) shows all the history we store and every row.
Try these prompts
- How did my site do over the last 28 days compared with the 28 days before?
- Which pages lost the most clicks between March and April?
- Show me the queries just off page one with the most impressions.
- What happened to clicks for /pricing around the last Google core update?
- Add a note on yesterday's date: 'Published the new pricing page'.
Questions
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI assistant call tools in other apps. KeptSEO runs an MCP server, so your assistant can ask it for your search data instead of you exporting CSVs.
Does the AI change my Search Console?
No. KeptSEO only reads Search Console. Through MCP the assistant can change only annotations, and only if you allow it. Every change is logged and can be undone.
Do you pay for or see my AI usage?
No. You bring your own assistant and its plan. We only see the tool calls it makes to KeptSEO, which we log for your audit trail.
What does Free MCP see?
Exactly what Free shows in the app: 2 active sites, the last 16 months and the top 5,000 queries and pages per view. When an answer was cut by a Free limit, the assistant is told so. Pro shows every row and all the history we store.
Can I limit what it sees?
Yes. It acts as you, with your role. A client viewer only reaches the sites assigned to them. Keys are read-only unless you tick "Can change annotations".
How do I stop it?
Revoke the key or the connection in Settings, MCP & API. It stops working on the next call.
Connect your AI
Turn on the add-on and create a key or connect in Settings, MCP & API.
