Comparisons
Plans Free, Pro
Numbers mean little on their own. The comparison says what your date range is measured against, so every change you see (for example “18.6% up”) has something to be a change from.
Choose a comparison. Next to Compare, above the numbers, pick one:
| Choice | What it compares with |
|---|---|
| Previous period | The stretch of the same length just before your range. For 90 days, it is the 90 days before. This is the starting choice. |
| Year over year | The same dates one year earlier. |
| Off | Nothing. The change tags disappear. |
The chart title also says what is being compared, for example “Jul 10 to Oct 7, 2026 vs Jul 10 to Oct 7, 2025”.
What changes when you compare
- The number cards show the previous value and the change. See Number cards.
- The tables show a change tag on each number and a Click change column. See Queries and pages table.
- The chart draws the comparison as a dashed line. See Performance chart.
- With Off, those extras are hidden.
Good to know
- Your range and a previous-period comparison never overlap: the previous period ends the day before your range starts.
- Changing the date range moves the comparison with it.
- On Free, the comparison is also limited to the last 16 months. A comparison that falls before that is shortened or dropped, and a short note says so.
- Your choice is kept in the page address.
Compare two stretches of your own. Instead of the buttons, you can mark two windows on the chart and compare any two periods. While they are set, none of the buttons is selected; pick one to go back.
